We're looking for a Payroll Manager to join our People team and ensure accurate and compliant payments with our internal and external partners and people.

About the role

As a Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for processing and reporting on UK and European payroll, including France, Spain, Italy and Germany, in partnership with our local service providers. The main objective of this role is to ensure our monthly payroll is accurate and in compliance with local tax and legal requirements.

You'll be

Managing the monthly payroll process for UK employees, validating all changes and ensuring employees earnings and deductions are accurate and in compliance with legal requirements and company guidelines.
Liaising with DICE's local service providers in Europe to ensure the smooth running of our European payroll.
Working with the wider People, Operations and Finance teams to streamline payroll processes, improve payroll cycles and reduce errors.
Partnering with our Finance and Legal teams to ensure compliance across our payroll process.
Working alongside the Finance team for the reporting and scheduling of payments.
Liaising directly with benefits providers, including health insurance, pension providers and others, as required.
Maintaining contact with the external payroll provider for the UK, submitting the data for the monthly payroll process, reviewing the preliminary reports and approving the final version of the pay slips.
Ensuring all starter and leaver paperwork is processed in a timely manner, depending on local requirements.

You'll need

Deep professional knowledge of payroll, with up-to-date knowledge of UK legislation.
Proven experience with running European payrolls, particularly Italy, France, Spain and Germany.
To have supported a People team on payroll-related queries raised by employees.
Experience with working in a fast-moving People team within a growing company.
Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information, and maintaining data on people platforms and Google Drive.
Solid IT skills, specifically Google Sheets and Google Docs.
