The Role
Your daily to-dos might look like this:
- Partner with retail managers across multiple sites, understanding people needs, challenges, goals, and opportunities, providing strategic HR advice and solutions to address these
- Be accountable for delivering tangible impact across sites from attrition, to engagement scores, and employee performance
- Ideate and execute key work streams and projects within the retail people roadmap, autonomously and collaboratively with Retail Director and wider management
- Administer key company wide programe e.g. performance review cycle, engagement surveys, supporting data collation and integrity, fostering a culture of high performance and growth
- Create and maintain progressive, dynamic HR policies and procedures, compliant with employment laws and regulations across regions
- Provide expertise across employee relation issues, acting as the escalation point and offering guidance on conflict resolution, fostering positive working relationships
- Benchmark and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs tailored for retail
- Work closely with Retail Director and Talent team to create and maintain resource plans
- Regularly collate and report on key people data
- Work closely with retail managers to ensure full understand and usage of HR tools, with HR documentation and employee files maintained to a high standard, supporting with admin where required
L&D
- Develop and implement learning and development programs tailored for retail teams, enhancing skills and promoting continuous growth.
- Provide training and coaching to help upskill our retail leaders in HR and people management
- Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps within the retail teams and design targeted development plans
- Contribute to the design of engaging and effective learning programs, delivering impactful training sessions where appropriate to enhance capabilities of retail employees.
- Utilise metrics and data to assess the effectiveness of learning programs, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
These skills will help you go far in this role:
- Proven, hands-on generalist HR and business partnering experience
- Experience working across a multisite retail environment
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations across regions and complex ER experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experienced in stakeholder management at all levels, building strong relationships
- Fantastic attention to detail
- A genuine passion for learning and development, with a successful track record of designing and implementing successful programs
- Expert with excel/google sheets
- Relevant certifications in HR or L&D are a plus
