We're looking for a Pre-construction Manager to join our project team based in Loughton, Essex.
Location: Loughton, Essex - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
What will you be responsible for?
As Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing preconstruction staff for specific projects from inception up to contract award. You will lead the process of managing the overall solution, overseeing and coordinating all elements of the preconstruction team, to develop high quality proposals that meet or exceed both the client and Kier requirements.
Your day to day will include:
- Responsible for managing allocated preconstruction staff for specific projects
- Responsible for preconstruction delivery from inception through tendering and PCSA, up to contract award
- Implementing Performance Excellence preconstruction processes including bid governance.
- Implementing the Kier Golden Rules throughout the life-cycle of the project throughout preconstruction.
- Engage with the business development team to identify tender opportunities and win plans

- Demonstrable leadership skills: trusted, focused and collaborative
- Excellent understanding of the pre-construction process, interpreting client requirements and converting them to outstanding project solutions that deliver technical, quality, budget, programme, and sustainability targets, whilst achieving sustainable business margins
- Track record of work winning with knowledge of multiple sectors including public and private
- Strong team leadership with demonstratable capability in developing talent, skills and the potential of individuals and teams
