Pre-Construction Manager

Trevett Services have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join a major FM & building services provider based remotely with occasional site visits.

The Pre-Construction Manager will play a critical role in managing all pre-construction activities for fit-out projects.

This is a full time permanent role, paying up too 65,000 per annum in addition to a car allowance and a bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities of the Pre-Construction Manager:

  • Act as the main point of contact with the client during the early project stages, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs, objectives, and vision.
  • Lead the development of the project brief, incorporating the clients sustainability targets and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to confirm project feasibility, budget alignment, and risk management.
  • Lead all design meetings with the client and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project requirements and design intent.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal design teams to develop concept designs that align with the client's technical and operational objectives.
  • Chair regular design calls, ensuring all stakeholders are updated and involved in the decision-making process.
  • Evaluate feasibility based on site surveys, budget, and technical constraints, providing design feedback and ensuring all client requirements are incorporated.

Essential experience the Pre-Construction Manager would need:

  • 5-7 years of pre-construction management experience, with a focus on design-led fit-out projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and chair design meetings and calls with high-profile clients.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the RIBA Plan of Work.
  • Extensive experience working closely with large clients, particularly in managing design reviews and approvals.
  • Strong skills in managing budgets, schedules, and procurement during the pre-construction phase.
  • Strong understanding of fit-out design, technical coordination, and sustainability practices, including BREEAM or LEED certifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of building regulations, health & safety standards, and energy efficiency guidelines.
