Process Safety Lead - Leven

This is a Leven based role with an excellent immediate start within a global FMCG brand working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

The Product Safety Lead is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of all products manufactured or distributed by the company. They develop and implement safety protocols, monitor regulatory requirements, investigate safety incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns throughout the product life cycle.

Key Skills:

  • The main focus of role is to support the Safe management of contractors
  • Hence must have NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum

Key Duties:

  • The role is positioned in the Global Brands Supply, Project Engineering team providing Capital Project support to Manufacturing sites including distillation, brewing, spirits and beer packaging and maturation warehousing. The overall purpose of this team is to deliver capital expenditure projects. For this role this includes:
  • Use specialist knowledge to support safe deliver capex projects, working closely with Supply Operations teams and Capex Project Engineers.
  • Support the Civils Capex Project Engineer on the ground with safe working practises, adherent to RAMS, site inductions are planned and contractors have access to site in advance of activities starting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards, including the Construction, Design & Management Regulations.
  • The role holder will have a construction/H&S engineering management background.
  • Support Project Manager(s) on preparation of key H&S documentation and plans (eg PCI, CPP, Traffic Management, H&S File, Risk Assessments, site set up plan, etc)
