Description

The successful Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that supplier agreements are in place for all key suppliers
• Driving supplier performance through cost reduction. OTD, quality etc.
• Developing and implementing the purchasing strategy for the business
• Review opportunities to establish support contracts and agreements with key suppliers
• Maintaining relationships and negotiate contracts / prices with suppliers
• Leading purchasing strategies with the aim of reducing variable and overhead costs for the business
• Collaboration with internal teams and members of staff to align and develop sourcing strategies
• Heading up and leading internal projects
• Ensuring continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
• Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Developing ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in a similar role ideally within FMCG
• Ideally be MCIPS qualified
• Experience in leading and developing a team of individuals at various stages in their career
• Solid negotiation skills and stakeholder management, being able to manage a wide range of suppliers and categories
