Programme Manger
The Role
We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our client's dynamic and growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the design and development of cutting-edge underwater products and defense projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Management Expertise: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of programme management methods and principles.
- Defence Programmes Delivery: Manage and deliver complex, high-value defence programmes with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Project Execution: Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification through meticulous planning, resourcing, and execution.
- Comprehensive Planning: Produce and review project specifications and designs, documenting functional requirements and performance characteristics.
- Cost Monitoring: Establish and monitor Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) estimations, reporting deviations to Senior Management.
- Budget Management: Create and manage programme budgets effectively.
- Risk Management: Identify and communicate programme risks.
- Team Goal Setting: Set clear objectives and tasks for the team.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with team members, vendors, and partners.
- Reporting: Compile progress reports and present to management and other stakeholders.
- Project & Resource Planning: Utilize MS Project for effective project and resource planning.
- Multi-Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates should be local to the Farnborough/Hampshire area, able to attend the office as needed. While most employees work on-site, there is flexibility depending on the candidate and situation.

- Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Proficient in negotiation, coalition building, and conflict resolution.

- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Educational Background: Hold a BSc/BEng or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline (minimum 2:1).
- Certification: Possess an Association of Project Management (APM) qualification or similar project management certification.
Security Clearance: The candidate must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) for this position.
