Project Manager required to join a public sector organisation based in Manchester. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic and growing team on a full-time, fixed term basis.
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for Change Governance Support including scheduling, preparation and recording, alongside the various duties below:
Key responsibilities of the Project Manager
- Define and implement a comprehensive strategy for future Demand Management
- Strategic Demand governance reporting including consolidated status reporting, spend and benefits, resource usage, risks, issues and change control across the portfolio
- Independent analysis of portfolio information and recommendations on any aspect of demand delivery to inform decision-making by senior leadership and governance bodies
- Responsible for the SCSC Roadmaps, including the identification, analysis, prioritisation and scheduling of improvements.
- Define and establish the standards, methods, processes and tools for Demand Management
- Liaise with an appropriate independent body to provide assurance of the Demand capability on a regular basis
- Establish relevant communities of practice and hold relevant events for the demand communities throughout the year
- Manage the performance of the Demand Management team to deliver a high level of stakeholder satisfaction, accurate and timely delivery of information to governance bodies to enable strategic decision-making, and improved maturity in change management within the Strategic Change Office
- Work with the PMO to look at hand off/over of demand to the approved portfolio
- Ensure the business continuity of the team through inputting into the development of a business continuity plan and effective operational risk management
Required skills and experience of the Project Manager
- P30 or equivalent qualifications/experience
- Experience in Change Management and People Management
- Knowledge of a wide range of change & project management methodologies
- Experience of business intelligence strategy and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Demonstrates initiative whilst able to take direction
