Project Manager - M&E Design and Installation Summary:We are currently in search of a dynamic Project Manager with expertise in M&E design and installation, including Heat Source Air Pumps, and a background in general building refurbishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering multi-site energy efficiency projects and refurbishment works. These projects are programmed across a diverse range of public buildings, including depots, schools, day centers, and offices.Day Rate:
  • PAYE £215
  • Umbrella £283

Duration: 12 weeksLocation: West London/ RemoteThis position is with a local government council that stands at the forefront of revitalizing the most prestigious areas in West London.Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand specific client needs for capital and planned maintenance investment and infrastructure, serving as the intelligent client link to ensure a high standard of service from the Council's construction partners.
  • Support, steer, and act as the dynamic lead for all project management aspects, ensuring value for money, project delivery, appropriate cost controls, and payback periods are in place before commissioning projects.
  • Ensure adherence to all aspects of regulatory compliance and probity, including reviewing H&S plans and ensuring works comply with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015, Equality Act 2015, and the Council's Standing Orders.
  • Contribute to the consistency of project delivery within the corporate planned maintenance program, employing a cutting-edge strategy to achieve defined objectives and reporting to Directors and Members.
Person Specification:Qualifications:Essential:
  • Hold or be working towards a postgraduate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a general construction discipline, or possess a first degree (Bachelor) in one of those disciplines.
  • Membership of a professional body aligned to the Built Environment (such as, but not limited to, MRICS, MIWFM, MCIBSE, etc.).
Desirable:
  • Health & Safety based qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH).
  • Project Management or lean programming qualification (6Sigma, Kaizen, MSP, PRINCE2).
Knowledge & Experience:
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience with consultant or contractor firms.
  • Experience in HVAC installation.
  • Experience in managing significant revenue and capital budgets.
  • Briefing Client experience in the development of capital projects.
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems and their application to FM performance management.
