Civils Project Manager - London
Your new company
Your new company are a leading Tier 1 contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. They are currently working on a major Infrastructure framework in London, valued at over £150 million, involving the design and construction of various civil engineering works, such as pipelines, tunnels, bridges, and pumping stations. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team and oversee the successful delivery of this project.
Your new role
- Managing the project from inception to completion, ensuring that it meets the client's requirements, budget, and quality standards.
- Leading and coordinating the project team, including subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Planning and monitoring the project schedule, scope, and risks, and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety, environmental, and contractual obligations and regulations.
- Reporting on the project progress, performance, and issues to the senior management and the client.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the water and/or utilities sectors, preferably with a Tier 1 contractor.
- A proven track record of delivering large-scale and complex infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- A sound knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
- A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel to various project sites in London and the surrounding areas.
