Senior Project Manager District Heating (Contract 12 Months)

We are supporting a major energy infrastructure business looking to hire a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to lead adoption model projects within their District Heating portfolio.

You ll manage multiple live projects (typically £1 3 million in value), overseeing the review, integration, and acceptance of assets designed and delivered by third-party contractors. This is a delivery-focused position, reporting directly into the senior leadership team and interfacing with engineering, adoptions, and commercial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end management of asset adoption projects, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide monthly reporting against project baselines, timelines, and milestones
• Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering Managers, Adoptions Managers, Commercial, Operations, and Customer functions
• Act as the key point of contact for project performance, client management, and issue resolution
• Review and approve designs and installations by third-party contractors before commissioning and operational onboarding
• Track progress across multiple workstreams and provide forward-looking insights on critical paths and delivery risks
• Ensure compliance, quality, and customer experience remain high throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Strong Project Management background in energy, utilities, or infrastructure
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholder interfaces
• M&E background preferred; district heating experience highly desirable
• Strong client and internal stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable reporting on progress, risks, and milestones

Contract Logistics:

• Location: UK (Hybrid)
• Start Date: Depends on the candidate circumstances
• Contract Type: 12 months with possible extension
