Morson are currently looking for a Project Manager to join a nuclear power station in East Anglia.
This can either be located in London or Suffolk offices with regular site visits required and hybrid working arrangements available.
The Role
Within the integrated project team, working in a matrix structure, you ll provide leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the Enabling and Earthworks scope as part of the overarching Civils Programme of SZC. Whilst recognising and managing the impacts of the programme on the wider Project.
Additionally, as the Senior Project Manager your role will be to develop the strategy for delivering the Enabling & Earthworks scope to cost, schedule and quality within the agreed constraints. While managing a team of direct reports.
The scope of the Enabling Works is the design, planning, procurement and execution of the early SZC civils scope e.g. SSSI Crossing, ground improvement, dewatering, diaphragm walls, sea defence and beach landing facility.
You ll also have the responsibility to ensure delivery or part-delivery of the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule, This post will also ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.
The Skills
You ll hold 10 years+ experience in major projects, ideally as a PM looking to take the step up to SPM, or a seasoned SPM looking for a new challenge. Your technical expertise will allow you to understand and communicate complex technical ideas to a range of stakeholders.
Detailed knowledge of the end to end process of large scale projects within any of the following disciplines Large Scale Excavations, Dewatering, Groundworks, Marine and Temporary Works will be key, along with excellent management ability.
You ll be able to demonstrate success at coordinating multi-disciplinary design/procurement work and driving design/procurement teams to deliver on time
Previous experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment. Including NEC and FIDIC contracts will be key.
