Summary:
My client, a growing multi-utilities infrastructure company, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of key, high value I&C projects, with the primary focus to ensure programmed works are delivered safely, within budget and in line with customer expectations. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with a background in the utility industry - electric, gas, or water networks (we are also open to considering Project Supervisors looking to make their next step up within their career). Key responsibilities:
- Manage multiple core and/or Major projects safely, competently to time and budget - onsite
- Provide project reports and updates as required
- Complete risk assessments, site audits and toolbox talks as required
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with DNO/IDNO GT/IGT specifications
- Review, monitor and update project programmes to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget
- Effectively manage any variations to contracts
- Record all accidents, incidents and near misses
- Construct Method Statements and prepare site work instructions as required.
- Liaise with other teams & clients to ensure all targets and key milestones are met.
Skills and experience required:
- Essential is an understanding of electricity, gas, water, and telecoms distribution networks
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Full clean UK driving licence (site work is mostly midlands and Northwest, but could be National)
- A technically and commercially minded individual with attention to detail
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Project
