Project Manager

My client, a leader in the design, development, manufacture, and supply of modular containment storage solutions, is looking to enhance its team with a Project Manager. This role is crucial for leading and delivering capital and improvement engineering projects that align with the company's strategic growth plans.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work with internal stakeholders to define projects and their success criteria.
- Ensure project scope and design comply with current health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate all project elements including design, sourcing, manufacture, installation, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Manage projects within time and cost targets as agreed with the Maintenance Engineering Manager.
- Plan and deliver necessary resources, including internal and subcontract resources.
- Accurately cost works, prepare and submit capital expenditure documentation.
- Evaluate organisational challenges and mitigate risks.
- Conceptualise ideas and bring them into real-life viable solutions.
- Incorporate sustainability and maintainability into delivered projects.
- Oversee and manage contractors on site, including inductions.
- Utilise specification documents for project management, including risk assessments.
- Track tasks against project timing plans and provide written status reports.
- Work closely with Maintenance and Manufacturing colleagues to ensure project success.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent relationship management and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing lean techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Demonstrable track record in delivering successful capital and improvement projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Educated to HNC or HND level in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- IOSH Managing Safety qualification is ideal.
- A project management qualification is desirable.
