Project Manager required for upcoming low carbon building projects based in Co. Down

Hays NI are proud to be assisting an award-winning building & maintenance contractor based in Co. Down in their search for a Project Manager to join them on unique, low carbon building projects and reporting to Assistant Construction Director level.
This company has a wealth of experience gained over the years developing long-lasting relationships with clients and providing a consistently high level of service with this instilled in every member of the team. Covering the whole of Ireland, they have become renowned for exceeding expectation in everything they do from construction through to commercial developments, facilities management & building services.
Your new role
Your new role as Project Manager will involve leading a multidiscipline Design & Build team. You will be responsible for managing design team performance as well as that of contractors in line with the contract.
The successful candidate will be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues and ensure these are resolved promptly. This exciting role will involve the delivery of low carbon buildings and unique projects.
The role may also require the successful candidate to undertake work specific training on the job or externally.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, a Project Manager will ideally have the following.

Demonstratable NEC forms of contract experience Demonstratable experience working with Contract Management Platforms. High proficiency working with Microsoft Office applications. Delivery of Projects for Public Sector Clients. Demonstratable experience of leading the delivery of projects with a construction value exceeding £10 million. Significant experience in the management of projects which included Design. Understand construction measurement principles Good client-facing and communication skills, A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal directions Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards assigned tasks Be reliable & committed Participate in overtime when required (including weekends) Have a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniques Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, self-starting, well-disciplined and commercially astute Good technical writing skills and knowledge of reading drawings and tender documents, etc Demonstrates ability to implement and meet targets.
