Job Title: Project Quality Manager - ConstructionLocation: Yorkshire, Teeside or Lancashire. The role will be a mix of visiting Customer sites, working from home and in the Office so it would suit someone who lives in Yorkshire, Teeside or Lancashire Salary: £70-75,000 + Car + Bonus Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for a proactive and client-oriented Project Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and customer satisfaction efforts on high-impact construction projects. This role bridges the technical execution of quality processes with a strong focus on delivering a superior customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will not only ensure compliance with construction standards but also serve as a trusted partner to clients by aligning quality outcomes with their expectations.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Quality Manager will include:
- Act as the primary quality interface between the project team and the client
- Understand client expectations, project specifications, and success criteria from a quality perspective
- Lead regular client quality briefings and progress updates
- Proactively identify and resolve quality-related concerns raised by clients and stakeholders
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs) with a customer-first mindset
- Define quality deliverables that align with customer contracts and industry best practices
- Collaborate with clients to approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and key quality benchmarks
- Supervise QA/QC teams to ensure all work complies with specifications and expectations
- Oversee inspections, tests, and documentation with a focus on transparency and traceability
- Ensure all workmanship meets both regulatory standards and client-defined quality metrics
- Lead post-project reviews and gather client feedback to improve future quality strategies
- Use lessons learned and client input to continuously enhance QA/QC processes
- Drive corrective and preventive actions with a focus on root cause elimination and client assurance
- Educate project teams and subcontractors on customer-focused quality objectives
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and pride in quality delivery
- Deliver workshops or sessions to align internal teams with evolving client expectations
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field desirable
- 5+ years of experience in construction quality management with strong client-facing experience
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects with excellent customer satisfaction
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, industry codes, and regulatory standards
