Sales Engineer (Aftersales Manager) Field Based

Are you a Salesperson looking to join a well-established engineering company and develop the aftersales revenue stream to compliment to largely project based nature of the business.
Our client has been established for 35 years and are market leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of materials handling and heavy engineering solutions for a wide range of products spread across multiple sectors.
The role provides the perfect opportunity for the right individual to carve their own path and establish themselves and the company's growing portfolio. This role would suit a Technical Sales Engineer or similar, from a Bulk Material Handling background, looking for an autonomous role, within a fast-developing and successful company, that will offer technical progression and clear routes to management.
The Role
You will be field based around the UK selling products B2B dealing with some of the UKs largest companies.
60% Account manager / 40% New Business generation
Monday to Friday, remote based role
You will be provided with all the training and resources you need for a successful career with sales-based bonuses.
Responsibilities
Actively responsible for developing new client base and sales strategy
Responding to new and repeat enquiries by phone and by email
Returning quotations/ tenders to customers in a timely and professional manner
Introductory phone calls to potential customers
Meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets
Sales administration where required
CRM management
Experience/ Skills
It is essential the candidate has knowledge of bulk materials handling and storage
Previous sales experience
An engineering qualification is preferred (ideally mechanical)
Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads
Ability to read technical drawings and provide technical quotations to customers
