Lazenby Contracts are market leader at delivering Polished Concrete, Terrazzo and Micro concrete floors to Tier One contractors in the UK. Recent projects include V and A museum, Museum of London, UCLE and LSE.
The successful candidate will be trained in all company product knowledge. They will be comfortable discussing technical queries over the phone or in person when presenting to clients.
Your role will be pivotal in generating leads and submitting tenders, fostering client relationships, and ensuring seamless communication throughout the process.
JOB DUTIES
- Analysing Specifications, drawings, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to submit tenders
- Gathering project information to allow accurate pricing from main contractor, architects or engineers
- Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assessing the risk levels associated with the financial, technical and operational aspects of the project
- Analysis of past projects to assist with future project pricing.
- Working closely with key members of the project team (such as the bid manager) and liaising with clients.
- Upsell company products to enhance tenders
- Build relationships with main contractors.
- Produce tender submission drawings.
- Logging and maintaining all relevant customer and lead information in the CRM database
- Working collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to understand and meet the potential customers' needs
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Experienced in construction estimating.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Salesforce and Sharepoint
- Ability to estimate projects from concept to tender submission
- Understand drawings and bills of quantities
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project (desirable)
- Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with clients, suppliers and internal departments.
- A friendly, outgoing nature - enjoying talking to customers on the phone is a must
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to reply efficiently and without delay.
- You may be required to visit client and Architects offices to deliver product presentations.
- Time Management/ Organisation
- Experience in the Construction Industry is advantageous.
Working Hours: 8am-5pm
