Due to the retirement of the current School Business Manager, the infant school is looking for a confident administrator with a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement to join their friendly and supportive leadership team in this busy, interesting (and at times challenging) role.

This would be a perfect opportunity for a mid-level administrator wishing to move to a school setting with the flexibility this brings.
As our client's new School Business Manager, you will provide or manage financial services, HR, administration and support services, facilities and new projects, IT needs and act as Data Protection Officer.
Previous financial experience including evidence of budget planning and monitoring, resource management along with experience of managing a small team in a business environment is essential. You will need to be highly organised to prioritise competing workloads and able to bring a fresh perspective to develop the role and contribute to school improvement.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the role and can include a handover and/or shadowing. The opportunity exists to undertake SBM or a financial qualification.
There is some flexibility on hours of work which are expected to be 24 per week, 39 weeks per annum (term time) with a further 3 weeks during holiday periods. There is an option to take up to 2 weeks holiday in term time and increase the weeks worked during holidays. You will be a key holder for the school and must be prepared to attend some early evening meetings.
