Senior Catastrophe Analyst - Property

IPS are supporting a highly-regarded, global (Re)Insurance provider with Lloyd's syndicate operations in their search for a Senior Analyst to join their team focused on Open Market Property risks.
The successful applicant will provide key analytical support and engage directly with key internal stakeholders including underwriters, pricing teams and senior management. Furthermore, this role offers the chance to play an active role in assisting with both internal and external reporting, relevant pricing, and rollups - as well as projects and ad hoc tasks to help shape and develop the wider view of risk. This role also offers the opportunity to assist in the training and development of junior analysts offering ample opportunity to develop managerial skills and qualities, allowing for a professional to step-up into this role.
The Open Market Property class of business is seen as an area for great potential growth, therefore, the successful candidate will have strong exposure to both Senior management and strategic initiatives in driving this portfolio forward. The hiring business has a market-leading learning and development programme with opportunities for secondments, allowing for broad development for their staff.
To be considered for the above role:
- Experience using recognised vendor Catastrophe models - with a Property class focus
- Strong technical ability - SQL required, additional programming and coding would be a benefit
- Keen interest in stepping up or continuing in management
- Good communication skills - with the confidence to speak to both Underwriting teams and Senior management
