About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to manage the full life cycle of building surveyingprojects for a wide array of commercial projects. You will be the key point ofcontact for our clients, which are principally institutions and propertycompanies. Your work will involve existing buildings often with alandlord/tenant aspect.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full range of buildingsurveying instructions on a variety of commercial properties, includingoffices, retail, and industrial.
- Professional work will includeschedules of Dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, party wallawards, defect diagnosis, planned preventative maintenance reports, fireinsurance valuations, disability audits, and schedules of condition reports.
- Contract work can typicallyrange from £10k to £30million where you will be performing the role ofdesigner, contract administrator, project manager or a hybrid of all three.
- Manage a small team includinggraduate surveyors and support staff.
- Involved in strategic planninginclusive of resource management and quality assurance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- RICS qualified CharteredSurveyor
- Ideally 1-5 years ofpost-qualification experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Team supervisory experience
- Positive attitude, effectivetime management skills and ability to manage own work load within requireddeadlines
