An experienced Senior Buyer with at least 5 years of procurement experience is needed to join the team at Europe's leading van accessory manufacturer based in Ellesmere Port on a full-time basis.
Their business is ever-growing, and they are hiring a Senior Buyer to manage a range of categories (to be determined by candidate experience but expected to be 90% direct and 10% indirect).

Key Responsibilities:
- The development of category strategies to maximise value and reduce risk
- To provide category expertise on products, processes, materials, and suppliers
- To identify and implement cost-reduction projects
- The development of strategic partnerships
- To provide commercial insight into the NPD process
- Sourcing, benchmarking and RFQs
- Negotiation, evaluation, and contract management
- Driving improvements in supplier performance
- To provide spend and cost analysis
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of Procurement experience within manufacturing environments
- Experience in direct spend
- Proven track record of cost reduction
- Excellent communicator
- Highly analytical
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Desirable Experience:
- Degree in Business or Supply Chain
- CIPS qualified (or working towards)
- Experience within an engineering setting
- Previous experience in steel, aluminium, injection moulding, packaging, or electronics
