Due to their continuous growth and progressive nature our client currently has an opportunity for a talented Senior Design Manager to join their team. Our client has a track record of delivering creative and exciting projects which reach commercial values of up to 20 million.
Your new role
Reporting to the Regional Technical Manager and working as part of a team you will be responsible for the design management of building projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
Overall responsibilities will include: Managing the Design Process, preparing Detailed Design Procurement Programmes, monitor the Design Programme, prepare and maintain Information Release Schedules, holding regular technical meetings to ensure the design is in line with budget, programme and technical constraints. You will scrutinise proposed design by external consultant to ensure best value. You will be able to manage activities within the tender and delivery team and provide coordination to the specialist engineers and consultants teams.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a chance for you to demonstrate your strong technical ability and develop innovative design solutions. You will possess a third level qualification in either Architecture or a similar discipline and have a working knowledge of relevant building regulations. You will have at least 5 years experience of managing and coordinating large scale commercial projects on site. You will be highly skilled using the latest software (ie BIM / AutoCAD / Revit) and it's application to managing design briefs, as well having strong wider I.T skills. You will have strong communication skills and experience of liaising between architects, contractors and engineers.
