Legacy Strategies are looking for a Senior Estates Surveyor to work with our client in West Northamptonshire.
Full Time 3 Month Initial Contract Hybrid
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will provide expert and strategically focussed advice to the Property teams, ensuring that its substantial portfolio is robustly managed to maximise revenue income while minimising operational costs. As the lead on key strategic acquisitions and disposals you will contribute to the delivery of the wider financial requirements while delivering innovative property solutions that enable Services to transform and deliver the highest quality provision. By fostering strong relations within other organisations, you will seek opportunities that support the efficient, and cost effective, delivery of services across the area, enabling communities to thrive.
Accountabilities:
- Lead strategic property acquisitions and disposals, offering technical advice to the team and stakeholders.
- Manage a large caseload of complex property matters, including lease renewals and title disputes.
- Deputise for the Estates Manager or the Property Strategy and Major Projects Manager as needed.
- Oversee high-value property disposals, focusing on maximising value and obtaining necessary planning consents.
- Offer technical support within the team and manage projects to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct valuations and support the council's 5-year asset management program.
- Mentor junior team members, aiding their professional development within RICS.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Align property strategies with broader organisational goals, influencing stakeholders for optimal outcomes.
- Promote inclusivity and challenge discriminatory practices.
- Ensure safety and well-being for all involved in operations.
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in property and estates management practices.
- Demonstrated experience in property acquisitions, disposals, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of lease renewals, rent reviews, and other property-related legal complexities.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Familiarity with financial management and budget oversight.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
