Our client is a socially responsible housing provider with a strong emphasis on delivering local services within Derbyshire. Currently they are seeking an experienced Housing Officer with good knowledge of tenancy sustainment. This role will involve the management of a small team of community officers. This is a full time role and will include the duties as below:

• Responsible for the timely, efficient delivery of support, advice and enforcement services to assist tenants to sustain their tenancies
• Responsible for has a specific focus on the resolution of complex anti-social behaviour cases
• Oversee and develop the Estate Caretaking service
• Manage and coordinate appropriate action based on identified risks to tenancies so more intensive support can be offered to individual households
• Manage the effective enforcement of tenancies when necessary, ensuring action is proportionate and adheres to all expectations of legislation, regulation and good practice
• Manage the processes of excellent case management ensuring records are appropriate and can be used for the preparation of legal documentation
• Work in partnership with the Housing Teams providing support and representation for Court attendance
• Management of the Community Team to deliver community-based projects which aim to improve wellbeing, community cohesion, local responsibilities and community pride
• Manage resources to respond efficiently to demand for additional housing related support
• Work in partnership with Housing Managers to deliver and ensure the adherence to the requirements of policies and procedures in relation to tenancy management, support and enforcement
• Create a clear assessment framework to understand needs of tenants in terms of vulnerability and proactively addresses risks by creating a support plan and collaborating with other teams and organisations to ensure that appropriate support is available
