This is a great opportunity to join our community of experts at DWP Digital as a Senior IT Service Manager.

You'll join our User Support Services (USS), onsite and device deployment team. The team operate to provide DWP colleagues consistent IT support at all our sites nationally.

This role is key to developing our future strategy for onsite services and ensuring consistency of service nationally across all DWP sites.

You'll manage performance of our onsite and field service support services ensuring alignment to customer expectations, consistency of service and defined targets.

You'll act as an interface between Digital and third-party suppliers, monitoring compliance against SLAs & OLAs.

It's a fast-paced working environment, where we need to respond to change and maintain high standards for our customers.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Leading onsite/field service support services to provide a consistent support service and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Delivering confident and clear Leadership with the ability to implement and translate strategy into action.
  • Practical application of knowledge of ITIL Service Management Framework, best practice & tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Working in a disciplined environment under pressure to meet challenging objectives and tight deadlines, delivering at pace and demonstrating adaptability & leadership.
  • Building high performing teams through developing capability and creating an inclusive and collaborative learning culture which values diversity and encourages openness, approachability, and sensitivity.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, confident presentation and influencing skills within a large organisation and the ability to motivate others.

You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs either in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester or Sheffield.

We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We work a hybrid model with a mix of home working and sometime in the office.

In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay of up to 43,347.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 27.1%, worth up 11,745 a year.

You'll get a generous leave package starting at 26 days (rising to 31), plus all the usual bank holidays, and the option to take extra days off on flexi leave.
