WHAT TO EXPECT
The Product Integrity Team is comprised of dynamic, critical thinking individuals with the highest standards of moral and professional integrity, who hold customer safety as their priority.
The Class Action Team investigate, research, build and provide the technical evidence to assist in Class Action litigation globally (except USA and Canada).
This is a senior role, and the right candidate will be expected to manage their work independently, to a high standard, producing accurate investigation outcomes for review by the Product Integrity Project Manager and ultimately reliance in court proceedings.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibities
- Working across the business and cross functionally, the Product Integrity Investigation Senior Engineer investigates and gathers information and data to create robust technical arguments as required by the Product Integrity Project Manager to be used in a Court of Law to defend JLR and its products.
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with representatives from Engineering Functions (CoCs), Vehicle Engineering, manufacturing etc. to ensure robust case defence.
- Research and prepare required technical information to enable the Product Integrity Project Manager to deliver their responsibility to internal and external legal Counsel, presenting technical issues in a simple to understand manner.
- Represent the Product Integrity department internally and externally.
- Support a team culture to maintain the team's mental wellbeing whilst dealing with the stressful work subject matter that the team can be exposed to.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
- Diverse experience across various Engineering disciplines. Powertrain and ADAS functions experience would be beneficial.
- Evidence of excellence in team leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to present and articulate a clear point of view at all levels within the business.
- Investigatory mind set to collate all the available information, interpret and challenge continuously to ensure JLR has a robust position in legal defence cases.
- Clear communication of information using Microsoft Office packages.
- Able to structure and deliver detailed technical reports on complex systems functionality in a clear and standardised manner.
- An understanding of evidential processes and legal proceedings would be beneficial.
- Broad whole vehicle system knowledge.
