My client is a national tier 1 main contractor that specialises in general build projects but has a bias towards multi-room, industrial, and data centre projects. They were established in 2001, with a turnover of £750m+ and 800+ employees.
What will I be doing?
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be the on a large industrial project and will run the project from start to finish working under the direction & support of a highly experienced and knowledgeable Operations Director. Depending on your location, you will be based on a site between Sheffield and Birmingham. Your role is to lead the project, manage the on-site management team, and assist in managing the trades and subcontractors working on the project.
Senior Project Manager responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the delivery and programme management.
- Work closely with department heads to increase revenue, achieve productivity goals, and contribute to the organisation's overall success.
- Ensure projects assigned to you are completed on time and rules and regulations of the organisation are enforced.
- Direct the development of construction, and project works to meet key business objectives.
- Direct, organise, and motivate the team so that work is undertaken safely, efficiently, and to the relevant standards.
- Control risks to ensure works are compliant with standards, performance, and business processes.
- Secure adequate resources and funding to enable efficient & safe delivery of the portfolio.
- Direct the timely assignment of (CDM) obligations for all projects in programme.
- Control and check the quality of work undertaken and confirm assets are compliant to standards.
- Accurately report all work completed/not completed and produce/maintain records as required.
- Take responsible care for the health and safety of yourself and other people.

Am I right for the role?
- 5+ years working as a Project Manager for tier 1 or 2 Main Contractors
- Experience working on projects worth upwards of £20m
- Experience working on Industrial & Distribution projects within the last 5 years
- Own a Black CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid at work (3 day)
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety
