Job Description
Reports to the Project Manager or (Senior) Commercial Manager/Director. Responsibilities are;
 Management of commercial resources of a project to ensure the project objectives are met or exceeded.
 Ensure that the commercial aspects of the project are fully understood by the project team and embedded in the operation of the project.
 pursue own professional development and provide guidance and support to develop other commercial staff
Provide clear and accurate data for reporting the commercial performance of the project.
Responsibilities
Develop a good understanding of the wider aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental law affecting a Facilities business
 Have a clear understanding of the contract applicable to the project on which your are working and the risks and opportunities
that this presents.
 Understand and implement the requirements of VINCI Health Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and conduct all
duties in a manner consistent with these
 Develop a high level of competence in the application of IT skills to facilitate own role within VINCI Facilities.
 Maintain a wide knowledge of business systems to manage and present business information
 Make best use of knowledge management systems
 Use the CAFM platform to demonstrate our value to our clients.
 Have a clear understanding of the benefits and outputs available from our IT tools.
 Share best practice and knowledge of using the IT platforms with the wider Commercial team.
 Act upon the MI available from our IT records to drive commercial improvement through the project.
 Actively seeks to expand own knowledge base of VINCI Facilities working practices and industry as a whole and promotes
development of others
 Promote knowledge share and learning to develop an innovative team philosophy
 Promote Lean management principles and lead discussions around how Lean can influence your contract.
 Identify, manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities
 Maximise cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment
 Maintain a high level understanding of planning and programming to ensure accurate progress reporting
 Work with supply chain to promote and measure continuous improvement in terms of cost, quality and learning of all parties
 Anticipate and plans change in commercial resource within a project
 Manage the production of timely accounts for use in managing the business
 Ensure clear and accurate reporting lines to the client where necessary.
 Manage the production of accurate and timely financial forecasts for use in setting targets
 Establish and maintain accurate and robust reporting structures and monitor resources and costs to ensure that projects meet
and / or exceed targets
 Develop comprehensive understanding of financial models including cashflow; turnover forecasts and project profit / loss
statements
 Undertake all duties in a manner that is professional and in accordance with the latest VINCI Code of Ethics and Conduct
 Actively work to improve the public perception and brand of VINCI Facilities
 Demonstrates a high level of commercial awareness of our services to create the best value solution for our clients and VINCI
Facilities.
 Ensure that VINCI commercial position is protected using in depth understanding and experience of contractual, commercial,
insurance and legal processes
 Early identification of project risks and ensuring that risk management, risk registers and contingencies are in place to manage a
minimise risk
 Production of and ensuring prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including any contentious issues.
 Comprehensive understanding of the requirements of the VINCI quality policy and procedures and how these are applied to
individuals own role.
 Complies with VINCI procedures insofar as they relate to their individual and direct reports roles
 Always seek to challenge the "norm"
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Facilities Management industry experience
Strong knowledge of healthcare facility management and relevant regulations.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost management and procurement.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Professional certifications (e.g., MRICS) are advantageous.
