We want to ensure positive outcomes for our company and are looking to recruit a new Senior SHEQ Advisor who can provide professional assurance, advice and be a point of escalation across our work sites whilst encouraging our teams to be accountable for SHEQ behaviours. Ideally, you will be a credible SHEQ Advisor, who has experience in working in the multi-utilities industry with a strong focus on electrical safety. Coupled with a SHEQ background that identifies as someone who is a role model in their field and can build on our strong, positive, safety culture. The role holder will: Role model the right organisational behaviours that demonstrate a strong commitment to organisational safety performance that achieves safe outcomes, whilst remaining compliant with company procedures, policies and legislative requirements. Raise any non-conformances and support the SHEQ and Compliance Manager in the development and implementation of SHEQ procedures, policies and initiatives. Manage and support SHEQ Advisors to ensure on-site audits are completed as required, with appropriate escalation, and continual improvements are achieved. Act as a SHEQ Coach and mentor for the SHEQ Advisors and colleagues across the organisation. Identify ways in which delivering safe outcomes and supporting the licence to stop is promoted across all of our disciplines of work. Support SHEQ activities across a range of projects ensuring compliance with CDM requirements, provide documentation (CPP) and information relating to SHEQ and Welfare activities across the organisation. Provide guidance as required to the business and its employees on occupational health, safety, welfare and well-being matters. Undertake audits, inspections and tours monitoring SHEQ performance and technical ability, including auditing the auditors and supporting operational project management to ensure performance levels are met and exceeded. Manage an audit tracker and allocated actions to ensure timely close out or escalation to the SHEQ and Compliance Manager. Manage the incident investigation process, ensuring timely and thorough investigation and appropriate and corrective actions are taken, whilst identifying root cause and recommending preventative action. Maintain SHEQ knowledge and best practice, ensuring up to date with legislative and other certification requirements. Work with the SHEQ Coordinator to review and provide insights into operational SHEQ Data, recommending areas of improvement to the SHEQ and Compliance Manager. Review client submitted information, identify and document risks and advise and influence operational teams and project management of all risks before a project commences. Support the SHEQ and Compliance Manager to resolve any SHEQ queries received within the business and act on any learning. Promote high standards of PPE and equipment and identify when maintenance, calibration or replacement is required. Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying areas requiring improvement and development. Attend Management and Team meetings as required. You will have: Nationally recognised SHEQ qualifications, including NEBOSH construction or general certificate in occupational health and safety, or above. Excellent understanding of CDM regulations and experience of application. A clean driving licence which is essential as attendance to site is key and a vehicle or vehicle allowance will be provided. Experience of leading and managing a team The ability to manage own workload and time effectively and proficient use of Microsoft applications and other company system to record and analyse data. Ability to conduct face fit testing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface and influence others at all levels. A passion for SHEQ excellence. Ideally, an audit or inspection qualification First Aid qualification preferred, but training can be provided.
