Requirement: Commissioning Engineer

Package: £58,000 - £90,000 + Bens
As a Commissioning Engineer you will be part of our substation build team working on UKPN's 11kV, 33kV & 132kV Distribution Network.
Your role will be to Test and Commission High Voltage Plant and apparatus onto the live distribution network integrating with existing protection schemes
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for the project teams
Where required attend Client progress meetings, pre-start meetings and client audits.
Encourage and integrate innovation and cost-effective working methods across the contracts
Identify and resolve design issues raised on site and conform to Distribution Network Operator standards
Provide technical support for projects at a concept stage to ensure robust, cost effective build solutions.
Produce detailed Commissioning Plans
Test and Commission High Voltage plant and apparatus on the 11kV, 33kV and 132kV networks
Testing and Commissioning of Alarm and Control installations
Skills & Knowledge
Able to identify and develop processes within operations to improve out puts
The ability to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety and Environment.
Ability to work within a team environment including clients, designers and site project staff
Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Candidates with other recognised qualifications will be considered if they can demonstrate they have worked in a similar environment
