About the company
My client has been trading for nearly 20 years and have grown considerably in that time. They are looking for a new senior site manager to join their team to lead the way on a new cut and carve project turning an 1800's school into high-end apartments. This will be a 2-year project and work has begun. So far, they have completed the soft strip of the site and have begun work on drainage and groundworks. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wishes to either join a well-established company on a permanent PAYE basis or someone who wants to work freelance with the potential to join full time later down the line.
Duties:
Daily tasks will change depending on the day and the project but can consist of:
- Monitoring progression on site, and day to day operations.
- Procurement of materials, plant, and equipment on site.
- Assessment of sub-contractors' quality and progress.
- Monitor performance against the contracts program.
- Maintaining a proactive culture towards the health and safety of all aspects of the site.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors on each contract
- Attend progress meetings where required
- Reporting directly to company stakeholders on a regular basis with regards to the performance of the contract.
Requirements:
- Experience within the Construction industry is a must.
- Experience with Cut and Carve projects is a must.
- Full UK driving license.
- Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by the on-site team and trades/labour.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs.
- Experience of working within established build programs.
