My client is an established Housing provider based in the East Midlands, looking to recruit a Housing and Tenancy Team Leader for their young people's service.
Reporting to the Operational Service Manager, the Accommodation Team leader will manage a small team to ensure the young people living within its various facilities are getting the best tailored support to help them live as independently as possible.
As the Housing and Tenancy Team Leader, you will be carrying out a range of duties, some of which are listed below:
- To provide first line management and supervise a small team of staff to ensure that young people receive person centred support within our accommodation in accordance with people policies, statement of purpose and OFSTED standards.
- To work towards, monitor and review compliance with regulators, commissioners and other key stakeholders in accordance with policy, procedures, project health scorecard (PHSC) and KPI.
- To identify, develop, implement and embed a co-production plan and activities in the development of the service delivery in accordance with Co Production Strategy to enhance the experience of young people within our services.
- To identify, develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners, local stakeholders and complementary agencies to ensure the service has an excellent local and regional profile in line with the Statement of Purpose
- To identify and develop a cohort of volunteers in conjunction with National Volunteer Manager to enhance the functioning of the service and service delivery for our young people.
- To record, update, maintain & monitor documentation and e-records of support activities signposting changes and outcomes to key stakeholders in accordance with GDPR, policies and procedure.
- To monitor, evaluate and identify improvements to service provision agreeing and implementing a change plan to enhance the experience of the young people in the service.
Key Elements:
The Housing and Tenancy Support Team Leader will have acquired practical and procedural knowledge across a specialist areas through on the job experience and/or additional qualifications. Most work undertaken will be of a routine nature requiring the Team Leader to follow established processes, practices, procedure and policies. The Team Leader will require a degree of persuasiveness/assertiveness when supporting our young people with their emotional and other support needs/management of staff. They will have developed interpersonal skills, developed training and development and motivation skills in relation to staff. The Team Leader is required to organise own workload. Planning horizon for this role, is measured in weeks to month by month. The Team Leader will not manage a budget but job holder may have an impact on financial resources. The Team Leader will have responsibility for 8 staff members. The number of bed spaces managed is 12 supported accommodation and 10 semi-supported.

This is a full time, temporary on-going vacancy with a view to become permanent for the right candidate.
Working hours are Monday to Friday with some out of hours commitment required as and when needed.
