Here at Amazon we are currently looking for an experiencedHealth & Safety Manager to join the team and play a criticalrole in managing the health and safety within the Amazon FulfilmentCentre (FC).
The successful candidate willidentify, coordinate and drive improvements in inbound safety,quality and productivity, working with the Operations Managementteams to continuously improve the functionality and level ofservice that the Fulfilment Centre provides to our customers.
Key jobresponsibilities
You will be managing aspects of outputin your area: people management, metrics, productivity targets, andprocess improvements. The extent of your duties will include:
• Managing the health and safety function at the FC,including supervision of staff to ensure delivery ofobjectives.
• Proactively engaging in collaborativehealth and safety projects across all operations sites
•Providing authoritative advice and guidance on health & safetymatters to all stakeholders within designated area ofresponsibility.
• Reviewing and auditing arrangementsfor health & safety management and continuously improving thesearrangements where appropriate.
• Providing strategiesto plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safetyrisks, recommending, and implementing mitigations andprocesses.
• Ensure robust reporting regimes are inplace for Health and Safety metrics.
• Providingmanagement information and statistics related to your area ofresponsibility.
• Supporting business change througheffective change management processes within the fast paced FCenvironment.
• Driving behavioural culture changeprogramme across a large, complex, multi shiftoperation.
• Implementation and review of company globalsafety policies ensuring that local HSE requirements are met.
BASICQUALIFICATIONS - Education to a degree level andadditional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diplomalevel
- Relevant experience managing a team
-Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safetylegislation
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and writtenEnglish
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Lean, 5S and Kaizen experience
- Environmentalqualification/experience an advantage
