Site Manager required for North Devon, opportunity for temp to perm contract.

Hays are currently supporting a growing house builder in the North Devon area.
As a result, they are looking for a new Site Manager to join the team from April 2024. The project is due to kick off in June/July, so joining early will give you the opportunity to be involved with some pre-construction including managing subcontractors, design and orders.
Once started, you will be a key figure on site managing clients and contractors to deliver the best quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate all site activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Supervise and manage site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
• Some knowledge of pre-construction would be beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and health and safety regulations.
• SMSTS and First aid at work
