Site Manager - Telford - Civil Engineering

You will be working for a Civil Engineering contractor based in the East Midlands area. The contractor has a strong pipeline of work across the East Midlands. Working on an array of civils projects with project values of up to £10million. Services include highways works, drainage schemes, earthworks, and reinforced concrete structures. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental sustainability, they have built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality results and maintaining long-standing client relationships. The contractor also offers great opportunities to progress within your career, assisting with training and progression within the company. Due to continued success they are now looking to onboard a Site Engineer.
Your new role
Your new role as a Site Manager will include, but not be limited to, playing a crucial role in overseeing and managing the construction and maintenance of roadways and highways. Here are some key responsibilities:

Site Supervision: Coordinating and supervising the work of construction workers and subcontractors on-site.Safety Compliance: Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed, conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of work and materials to ensure they meet the required standards and specificationsResource Management: Managing the procurement and use of materials, tools, and equipment needed for the projectCommunication: Maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any issuesProblem-Solving: Quickly resolving any issues or delays that arise during the construction processDocumentation: Keeping detailed records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and compliance documentationWhat you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:Previous experience overseeing the successful delivery of civil works across the highways and groundworks sector in a site management capacityAbility to manage and lead a team effectively to ensure successful project outcomesCSCS, SMSTS and First AidWhat you'll get in return
