Rate: £250 - £270 per day depending on experience
About the Project:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a high-profile education construction project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping a modern, innovative learning environment that will serve students and staff for years to come.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

Monitor progress and produce regular reports for stakeholders

Liaise with the client, architects, consultants, and local authorities as needed

Ensure quality control throughout the build
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Manager on education or similar public sector projects

Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and site logistics

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
