As a Site Manager, you'll be assigned to live projects, playing a key part in ensuring that schemes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the exceptional quality standards that define our brand.
What you'll do:
- Participate in internal and client meetings, providing input on planning, coordination, and delivery to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support the Contracts or Operations Manager in developing and managing the site programme, including labour, plant, and crane requirements.
- Prepare and maintain key project documentation such as method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans, ensuring they are current and compliant.
- Liaise with internal departments including Production, Procurement, and QS to coordinate deliveries, logistics, and site readiness.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, to programme, and in line with quality standards.
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain adequate resources and ensure progress aligns with the construction schedule.
- Monitor site performance, track KPIs, raise non-conformances where necessary, and follow through with corrective actions.
- Attend client and subcontractor meetings, communicate updates clearly, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Mentor and support Assistant Site Managers, contributing to team development and overall site performance.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in a similar site or project management role within the construction industry.
- Confident working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day site operations.
- Open to candidates from an engineering project management background, where transferable skills align with the role.
- We are named the world's most trustworthy company in the construction sector by Newsweek and Statista in 2023!
- Our culture - we connect & care about those around us. We nurture teamwork, communities, partnerships, and new ways of working, placing the highest importance on the safety and working environment of our people.
