A small contractor established based in Barnet undertake projects as principal contractor as well as subcontracting. This has been successful, and we are now being appointed on schemes with values of up to £1.5m in value.
Job Description
Reporting to the Director the Site Manager will be responsible for site-based management and supervision. This role will require the individual to ensure that all site-based H&S processes and controls are being implemented and subcontractors properly coordinated so that site-based activities are being run safely and efficiently. The Site Manager will be required to maintain records as required by the Director over the course of the project and ensure subcontractors are always operating to the correct design information. They strive to achieve a high quality service and product, and the Site Manager will be required to uphold this philosophy throughout their day-to-day activities. Supported by the Director, the manager will be fully Client facing.
Ideally, the individual will have SSSTS or SMSTS training, CSCS card and commercial refurbishment experience. First aid training would be provided for candidates without. They are a small contractor and the Site Manager will be required to work closely with and assist the Director on all construction related matters.
The majority of their projects are within Greater London. All their projects are within the commercial/education sectors.
The right candidate will need to be enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
