Site Manager - Civils and Groundworks

A highly sought-after opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading providers of comprehensive civil engineering services.

They cover everything from civil engineering infrastructure; parks and landscaping; drainage; industrial / commercial and residential projects to highway maintenance activities. They also hold approved certification for the road and street works act.

Their typical capability includes a range of activities in the following areas:

• New Highways including Section 38 and Section 278 adoptable schemes.
• Installation of New Utility Services.
• Major Drainage Infrastructure and Section 104 works.
• Pumping Stations, Balancing Ponds and Outfall structures.
• A wide range of Surface Water Attenuation Systems.
• Retaining Wall Structures.

The Duties

• ? Allocating work to the workforce, managing the workforce, and making sure the work is being undertaken to a high standard and safely.
• Delivering toolbox talks fortnightly at a minimum.
• Reading and understanding drawings.
• Be IT literature.
• Comply with all aspects of H&S and liaise with the clients for the day-to-day programming of the site.
• Amend and produce RAMs when necessary.
• Produce all permits, plant check sheets and make sure these are being filled our correctly.

The Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on Civils & Groundworks projects.
• Hold all valid & relevant qualifications.
• Hold valid CSCS.
• Full UK driving license.
• Willing to work away when required.
• IT literate with Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
• An excellent work ethic and attitude.
