Leading UK Contractor Seeking Experienced Site Manager for Major Education Scheme Your new company
Over the past 100+ years this building and civil engineering contractor have combined traditional values and experience with an advanced innovative approach. Working with various sectors across the UK and Ireland such as healthcare, education, retail and commercial, they have a strong commitment to deliver quality cost effective solutions for clients within a safe and considerate working environment. The contractor is well known for their high profile schemes such as a £100 million mixed used development & they are currently seeking a Site Manager to join their team initially on a £130m education scheme.
Your new role
Due to the continual growth in a demanding market place the company have a requirement for a Site Manager to be based on a major education scheme valued in excess of £100m. As a Site Manager you should you be tasked with managing and negotiating with subcontractors, ensuring the project meets the projected program and monitoring health and safety. You will be responsible for planning and managing day to day construction activities, leading the team and liaising with the design department, overseeing a £50m RC frame block on the scheme. In managing a team on site you must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of the construction industry and a knowledge of IT Systems.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to perform to the full requirements of this position, a successful Site Manager would be able to motivate a large work force with a can-do attitude whilst upholding the high standards set over the firm's lengthy presence in the industry. It is required that you have suitable experience as a Site Manager working on large scale projects.
