That factoryis situated on a 28 acre site with a workforce of 750, making29,000 ton of product each year, equating to over a billionpacks.
Whilst predominantly a branded businesswe do make products for leading Retail customers.
As the Technical Manager for our flagship Teessidefactory, you will work closely with the Site Plant Manager &Functional Heads to ensure all aspects of technical standards andpolicy are understood, communicated and implemented.
You will be a member of the Teesside Leadership Team (TLT)and part of your role is to deliver the Quality Pillar requirementsfor the site, as part of our standardised way of working(Intersnack Work Systems).
Teesside is alreadyour largest and most complex UK factory and currently undergoing asignificant multi-million pound investment to increase capacity andto bring new products to site.
This is a largeand complex role for someone who has experience working in a fastmoving, consumer focus business.
As the Site TechnicalManager, some of your responsibilities willinclude:
Being a key contributorto the strategy, development and growth agendas for thesite
Be a key and active member of the siteleadership team contributing to the wider business goals outside ofyour functional field.
Responsibility for SiteSenior Management understanding & implementation of allTechnical Policies & Standards
Through aculture of servant leadership and coaching
- Acting as the guardian of site quality &food safety standards
- Constantly challenge ourinternal and external audit readiness andstandards
- Fostering and developing a strongculture of food safety at the site
- Support thesite on its zero-loss journey
- Proactive riskmanagement & mitigation for all 'change' activities includingmaterial, process, product & people that might impact quality,food safety and waste.

- Minimum 5-6 yrs in aTechnical Manager role
- Demonstrable experiencein a technical role within the food/FMCG Industry in a large ormulti-site capacity.
- Proven track record in atechnical management role
- Cross functionalexperience working in other business areas orindustries
- Experience managing multipleprojects and issues at the same time
- Ability towork with and influence manufacturing teams and foster a one teammentality.
- Must be happy working crossfunctionally and in a non-hierarchicalenvironment
- Proven people and team developmenttrack record through coaching, team and cross functionalworking
- An experienced people manager andinfluencer - Coaching and developing your own and other teamsshould be how you get things done.
- A strongprocess technical bias with the ability to route cause and fixforever mentality.
- Hands-on leadership role,responsible for product quality and food safety standards. The siteis growing and will expand significantly, giving you an opportunityto grow and develop.
