This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects within the Submarine programme, leveraging cutting-edge technology in the UK. The Systems Design team is crucial to the programme's success, providing extensive exposure and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the system model, championing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the programme
• Assist the Engineering Manager with key engineering tasks and activities
• Support the development of design solutions to complex technical problems against agreed time, cost, and quality
• Support the development and management of Combat Systems requirements
• Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within requirements management tools, and endorsed by appropriate authority
• Understand contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems and support definition and acceptance criteria
• Provide technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers to system acceptance by the customer
• Work with various engineering teams to improve domain knowledge and subject matter expertise
• Guide and support more junior members of the team

Job Requirements:

Essential

• Background within a STEM subject
• Proven ability to solve problems
• Extensive stakeholder management skills at all levels with the ability to influence

Desirable

• Chartered Engineer, or actively working towards this
• Specific Systems Engineering experience and experience using tools such as IBM DOORS and Enterprise Architect
• Experience in leading small teams
• Experience in the relevant industry
