Amazon is looking for a Tax Manager to focus specifically on e-invoicing, e-reporting and related transaction controls/reporting. The role will report to the AWS Tax Director as part of the wider AWS VAT Advisory team, but will primarily be responsible for managing the design, roll-out and ongoing maintenance of these measures affecting all Amazon businesses in the region. E-invoicing/e-reporting models are proliferating around the globe and this is a great opportunity to be at the heart of this business-critical area for Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
The role is based in Singapore. Regular travel to other locations is likely. Key responsibilities and activities include:
1) Working with colleagues in VAT Policy and the central E-Invoicing Compliance (EIC) teams to monitor, track and evaluate legislative developments such as Malaysia's e-invoice, Singapore InvoiceNow and other similar country developments
2) Analysing published law and guidance to draft comprehensive Tax Requirements Documents plus other briefing materials
3) Liaising with partner teams such as Commerce Platform, Tax Engine, FinOps, Operations and Finance teams to assist with their execution of requirements
4) Work with EIC team to assist with project management of e-invoicing implementation projects 5) From time to time, as capacity allows, to support on other areas of APAC VAT advisory work as required.
- Minimally 8 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in e-invoicing
- Experience in indirect tax
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Experience in e-invoicing implementation projects
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
