Our client is looking for a Works Manager to oversee drainage and civil engineering projects in the North West / Warrington region. This role involves hands-on site management, coordinating with labor teams, and interfacing directly with clients and main contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Direct day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work progresses according to plan and standards.
Team Coordination: Supervise and organize on-site labor and subcontractors, assigning tasks and providing on-the-job support.
Client and Contractor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and main contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Technical Oversight: Conduct site assessments and implement drainage solutions, ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements.
Health & Safety: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular audits, and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Quality Control: Monitor workmanship to ensure it meets project specifications and address any issues promptly.
Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and work with the team to identify cost efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in site-based management of drainage or civil engineering projects.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and effective communication.
In-depth knowledge of construction regulations and safety standards.
Proficient in project management software.
Valid UK driving license.
Required Certifications: Relevant site cards and tickets (e.g., CSCS card) necessary for on-site work.
