The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.
We are now looking for a Works Project Manager to join our team in Hyde Park on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As the Works Project Manager, you will oversee a range of refurbishment and new build projects across the Royal Parks.
Primarily working at the feasibility and construction stages of projects, you will operate as part of a small internal team supported by multi-discipline consultants. You will take concepts through initial design, planning, detail design, tender and delivery stages, following on from the RIBA activity.
Acting as the PM, you will also manage specialist services such as architects, various engineers and planning consultants, as well as contractors to support the build stages.
You will be responsible for designing, planning and managing construction and engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and in budget.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Project management experience, ideally in an estate management environment - Strong experience of effectively managing contractors and recording accurate information - Experience of planning application submissions, inspecting works and working with planning consultants - Excellent negotiation and customer-facing skills - The ability to define project scope and goals through a Project Brief - A degree or equivalent through relevant training or experience
