Building Surveyor - Residential Care Homes

Hemel Hempstead

£50,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance (DOE)

Flexible Working

7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

The successful candidate will need to be DBS Checked

Information on the role

• Design input to ensure building works comply with Building Regulation Standards, National Codes & other Health & Safety Standards
• Liaise with Building Control Officers & Building Safety Officers, ensuring compliance
• Manage & oversee renovation, refurbishment, & repair projects
• Oversee building energy performance, such as, EPC's, MEES, SBEMS & implanting energy saving measures
• Oversee other carbon initiatives i.e., ESOS & SECR, impletnign solar panels, thermal systems & heat pumps
• Provide general building support to the Technical Designer & Construction Manager
• Provide advice on any structural issues in buildings, in relation to improvement works
• Assist in the set-up of construction sites
• Assist with managing the Maintenance Operative in the Care Homes, Coaching & Mentoring them where required

What we'd like from you

• Previous Residential/Care Home knowledge & experience
• Proven Building Surveying Experience is preferred
• Project Management Experience
• New Build, Refurbishment, Extensions, Maintenance & Improvement works
• Degree or HND in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or related subject
• Experience with CDM Regulations
• Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven
• Full driving license
• Commercially aware
• Self-motivated personality
• Attention to detail with a right first-time attitude
• Organisation and time management skills
