Maintenance Controller
Location: London, NW2 7HD.Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience.Contract: Full time, permanent.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within KBK's reactive maintenance team.
KBK are a fast reactive maintenance and refurbishment company covering the London area (within the M25). You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an excellent service. Your experience of managing people, coordinating, and highly attuned organizational skills will be key to this role.
Job Role
This is a role that is pivotal in the day-to-day operations of the business.
As part of the reactive team, you will be the face of the business and will require excellent customer service skills as well as be quick thinking and be a natural problem solver. The Maintenance Team Manager will be key in increasing productivity and driving results in line with current KPIs. You will be responsible for the running of 12 engineers and ensuring that there works are completed to a high standard.
• Desktop estimating maintenance works from £100+ to small projects.• Plan and prioritise workload to achieve service delivery.• Responsible for financial performance of contract/s and maximise margins.• Professional in appearance clean and tidy always• Flexible in attitude and aptitude• Ability to write reports and provide desktop quotes with the support of the operational manager.• Responsible for developing client relationships to ensure retention of contract and future opportunities.• Manage a team of mobile workforce with an element of administration and subcontractor management.• Ensure clear communication with workforce, customers, line management, office support staff, subcontractors and third-party suppliers.• Provide technical and admin support to the client and support staff.• Responsible for the undertaking of quality assurance inspections on a predetermined amount of all works delivered and record.• Knowledge of basic health and safety within the building and property maintenance industry or a willingness to undertake any relevant training.• Report training needs within team
To be considered for the role candidates will need to demonstrate:
• Excellent understanding if managing multiple tasks and prioritizing.• Reporting of works and providing desktop quotes.• Running 12 engineers alongside your other reactive team members and subbies.• Track record of delivering excellent customer service and resident satisfaction against KPIs• Knowledge of relevant standards and legislation• Ability to build positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.• Whilst not essential it would be highly desirable that you have strong property maintenance experience or similar.• The ability to work under pressure.
